Speaking of Fleming and John (that was in the last post), here is their official video—the only one I know of.

and came across this little gem of a compilation called Jeans & Summer 2 including Bishop Allen, The Martial Arts, Hello Saferide, and a fabulous track—‘Love’— from The Sunshine (aaaand I just heard Pure Joy’s ‘Dead Lavender’ *swoon*)

But what really caught my eye is the track by Rich Creamy Paint (mislabeled ‘Richy Cream Paint’). They’ve since become known as ‘Rich and Mindy’, but when I first knew them way back in 1999, Rich Creamy Paint was Rich Painter (the nephew of John Mark Painter: producer, multi-instrumentalist, and one half of the epic duo Fleming and John). The 15-year-old me went absolutely insane over his single ‘A.D.D.’.

I always wondered what became of him.

Anyway, here’s the streaming version of Jeans & Summer 2.
